We Updated Our Website!

In case you hadn’t noticed, we recently made some big changes here at RU SIG. In the past month, we released an updated version of our website with many awesome new features. We also unveiled a branding redesign to complement our new site with a stunning modern look. To celebrate, we want to tell you exactly what we did and why we did it.

Updated, fresh, modern look and feel: These things still matter to people. Studies have shown that website content and design matter when it comes to communicating within and across education communities (e.g., see Taddeo & Barnes, 2016). To practice what we preach (i.e., fostering better communication of research), we updated our website with a brand new user-friendly design and new and exciting content!

Easier to navigate: We audited organized our site structure to make sure visitors could navigate it easily.

New content: We examined the websites of other SIGs to see what kind of content they were offering their members. Building off the ‘shoulders of giants,’ we developed two new menu categories – Resources and Events. Under ‘Resources,’ you will find dedicated spaces for members’ publications, syllabi, training opportunities, and the newly developed OSF methods repository for studies on research use. While ‘Events’ houses information on the AERA annual meeting as well as related events other RU focused events.

We hope you like the new design! Take a look around our website to see all the new features and let us know what you think!
